South African Grammy-nominees Sharon Katz & The Peace Train are releasing their brand new recording, Side-By-Side, and the co-founder of The Peace Train is flying in from South Africa for this very special concert. Nonhlanhla Wanda and Sharon formed The Peace Train's multicultural choir back in 1992 to help Nelson Mandela end Apartheid.

Their new CD marks 25 years of ground-breaking musical and political collaboration and showcases their distinctive voices, gorgeous harmonies and songwriting talents. This Afro-Jazz-Contemporary fusion album features all original songs by Sharon, Nonhlanhla and Malcolm Nhleko, an original member of The Peace Train who now travels the world with Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

The CD release concert will also feature Wendy Quick on vocals, Monnette Sudler on bass, Mark Beecher on drums and Suzette Ortiz on keyboards.

Proceeds from CD sales go toward the ongoing humanitarian work of The Peace Train including an orphanage and after-school music program in South Africa as well as this year's Transcending Barriers project where singers are traveling from California and crossing the border into Mexico for a solidarity concert in Tijuana.
