January 22, 2019 8:00-9:30PM Danzas de los Orichas with Gilset Mora

Join us at Danzas de los Orichas with master choreographer from Havana, Cuba - Gilset Mora. This is an open level class, and will be beneficial for dancers of all styles. You will not only learn the various dances, but will be able to improve your musicality and body isolation, as well as learn the history and meaning behind this Afro-Cuban folkloric tradition.

Ladies, bring long / wide skirts or shawls / scarves. We usually dance barefoot in this class.
Orichas class usually happens to live bata drumming and chanting - please make sure you bring extra cash as a small token of appreciation to our musicians. There is no suggested donation, and it's totally voluntary.

Cost: $15 (cash or Venmo, paid to the instructor at the end of the class)

Location: Headlong Studios, rear studio
The studio is located on the corner of Broad & Federal, right next to "Ellsworth-Federal" subway station (orange line). There is plenty of street parking available. If the door is locked, please ring the "rear studio" doorbell.
