Join us for our 6th Annual We Are the Seeds Philly, part of the PECO Multicultural Series, on Saturday, September 20, and Sunday, September 21, from 11 AM to 6 PM at Cherry Street Pier (121 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd)
Free and open to the public—rain or shine. A $15 suggested donation helps support Indigenous artists and community programs.
This two-day celebration of Indigenous arts and cultures features presentations, live painting, short films, creative workshops, and a vibrant Indigenous art show. Visitors will enjoy fine art, incredible shopping opportunities, interactive art-making, learning with artist talks, and more.
Weekend Highlights
- Saturday kicks off with a powwow featuring dancers and singers from over 40 Tribal Nations, including host drums Silvercloud Singers (Intertribal) and Young Blood Singers (Shinnecock). (12p-6m)
- Sunday features a full stage schedule, including presentations by the We Are the Seeds Dance Troupe (Saponi/Narragansett), original music by Zachariah Julian, and The Magic of Storytelling with Tchin (Narragansett).

- Explore Indigenous artist booths.
- Enjoy hands-on activities such as corn husk doll-making with Dawn Spears (12p-3p).
- Experience live painting with Priscilla Bell Lamberty.
- Participate in conversations with esteemed actor Gregory Cruz.
