In Brazil, samba is a style of music and dance, a community celebration, and a way of life. The “Philly Roda de Samba e Choro” presents samba as it is most often performed in Rio de Janeiro, with people gathered around a table, playing tunes, singing along, drinking, and having fun.

Join us this Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Black Squirrel Club for the next Philly Roda de Samba e Choro celebrating Dia da Pátria (Brazilian Independence Day)! We are thrilled to announce two very special guests coming down from NYC: Fernanda Silveira on cavaquinho and Fabio Oliveira on percussion.
