September 8, 2017 8:00-10:00PM Worldtown Soundsystem at Eakins Oval

Worldtown Soundsystem will be playing on the PECO Stage in front of the Phila Museum of Art on Eakins Oval as a part of the Parkway 100 We Are Connected Festival, the centennial celebration of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia’s grand cultural boulevard.

Worldtown Soundsystem is a high-energy 8 piece live house music outfit uniting the spheres of electronic dance music culture with global rhythms and soul music. Directed by DJ/Producer Ben Arsenal, this energizing ensemble pulls it’s influences from soulful house, techno, afrobeat, Latin rhythms, and classic funk. The band boasts a seasoned cast of musicians from around the globe with members from Jamaica, Nigeria, Brazil, Alabama, Vermont and their home in Philadelphia. DJ’s Ben Arsenal & Oluwafemi started Worldtown Intl as a dance party in Philadelphia in 2011. Since then it has evolved into a touring band, label / record pool, an apparel line, and a community service network called Worldtown Citizens. Worldtown’s mission is to celebrate global culture through music and art.
