With over 25 years in the Philadelphia area, Minas features husband and wife team of Orlando Haddad and Patricia King. Drawing from Brazilian traditions of samba and bossa nova as well as American jazz and blues, the music of Minas is artistic, warm and sophisticated. Whether in concert or performing at many high-profile gala events, its reputation and high standards of professionalism has earned Minas the right to be called one of Philadelphia's gems.Minas, who’s performed at Lincoln Center in New York and The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, has also performed at many Philadelphia venues such as The Kimmel, The Academy, The Mann, and The Annenberg. They were featured on PBS “On Canvas”. They’ve received “Best of Philly” more than once and their CD "Bossa Nova Day" was indicated for 3 Grammy Awards in 2010.
