He won the Oscar® for composing the song "Al Otro Lado del Río" from the film The Motorcycle Diaries. In the last few years he has received nominations in three consecutive Grammy Awards and four consecutive Latin Grammy Awards, and has won two Spanish Music Awards.
Jorge Drexler is beloved for the beauty and intricate construction of his music and for the deft poetry of his lyrics. Critics have also hailed him as a keen observer of complex, timely themes such as technology and global interconnectedness, in addition to romance.
Drexler’s songs have been featured in numerous other films, including James Ivory’s The City of Your Final Destination, which he scored, and which stars Anthony Hopkins, Laura Linney and Charlotte Gainsbourg. His original song for the Spanish/Brazilian co-production Lope, directed by Andrucha Waddington, earned him the GOYA Award (Spanish Arts & Cinematographic Academy award) for Best Original Song in 2011.
While he was making the n app, Drexler undertook another first recently: He starred in Argentine writer-director Daniel Burman’s film All In, which premiered in the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, winning the award for Best Screenplay for a Narrative Feature Film in the World Narrative Competition.

Sonoma Sound is a band that features the talents of six Philly based musicians. They are Will Paynter on vocals & acoustic bass guitar, Jay Popky on vocals & guitar, Paul Downie on vocals & drums, Dean Sophocles on piano & organ, Jake L'Armand on violin and Robert Veith on 5 string electric bass. Their music is a sonic tapestry of original roots music with threads of Americana, Blues, Folk, Jazz and World rhythms that blur the lines of musical category. Their eclectic musical performance sung in English and Spanish, consists of conscious lyrics sung over steady rhythms and wandering melodic solos.

Moonflower caught the attention in the end of 2011 when they self-edited their first album, 'First Time', which had an excellent welcome in the Spanish specialized media. In 2012 it had an important recognition in different rising band contests. After introducing their songs mostly in Spain, the band took a great step with the enriching acoustic tour in the USA (East Coast) between 2012 and 2013. The rising of the Valencian band has been confirmed with their participation in the Primavera Sound Festival 2013 (Barcelona, Spain) and the Arenal Sound 2013 (Burriana, Spain) and their signing up with Sello Salvaje, an independent record label that is reissuing 'First Time' and will publish the second album that Moonflower is getting ready at the moment.
