Liberian Women's Chorus for Change
February 14: 2 PM - 3 PM
Love Park, 1500 JFK Blvd.
Philadelphia
Please support the Liberian Women's Chorus for Change as they work with others to end violence against women. People around the world will be singing and dancing in parks and on the streets on Friday, February 14th, to celebrate a shared commitment to making this world a safe place for women and girls. Philadelphia's gathering, part of "One Billion Rising for Justice," is organized by Women's Way. The Liberian Women's Chorus for Change has the honor of bringing this huge event to a close, taking the stage about 2:45 PM. Click above to see a brief video about the Chorus, a folk arts and social change program of the Philadelphia Folklore Project. To stay up to date on other chances to see and hear these women, "like" the Chorus Facebook page.
