Join Lansdowne residents Orlando and Patricia Haddad as the Minas Quartet closes the 2016 Arts on the Avenue Festival performing their unique brand of Brazilian jazz. And join our parade at the end of the set. We'll be leading a percussion jam comprised of kids, who made their own instruments with Marty and Helene Von Rosenstiel (see below), and adults who bring their own instruments. Yes, if you'd like to participate, please bring a drum, shaker, or whatever cool percussion you can carry as we samba on Lansdowne Avenue. Guaranteed to be a blast!
"Now that the Olympics are over, here's another chance to celebrate Team USA's cornucopia of medals and connect once more with the host country Brazil. I'm sure you saw the many images of Rio, but for us, seeing so many places which were our own stomping grounds made us feel so home sick and proud. Thanks Brazil and all the amazing athletes for a wonderful spectacle! " - The Haddads
