March 16, 2017 6:00-8:00PM Let's Dance Family Workshop with Melissa Talley-Palmer

During Women's History Month, The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz will Feature Melissa Talley-Palmer in a Let's Dance Workshop for families. Mark your calendar and come down with your children and grandchildren to share the history of bop, cha cha and line dance like we once did with our children in the room.

Melissa Talley-Palmer, a two time Leeway Foundation grantee winner and social dance advocate will present “Let’s Dance,” a workshop consisting of Bop and Cha Cha and line dance instruction focused on preserving the history and culture of dance in our communities. The dance instruction will include music made popular on the social dance scenes from the 1950’s until today.

The workshops are intergenerational and open to the public. Families are encouraged to bring their children, grandchildren and significant others. No partner required. Through this workshop we will continue to pass along the history of dance in our communities.
