The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz presents Suzzette Ortiz Latin Jazz Ensemble

The Philadelphia Clef Club is proud to present Latin Jazz pianist Suzzette Ortiz including musicians Madison Rast -bass, Jon Katz –saxophone/flute, Juan “Cuco” Castellanos – percussion, and Rene Ginett- vocals.
This debut concert will be part of the Women’s History Month Jazz series, which will include Ella Gahnt, vocalist. Ortiz has been a luminary in Philadelphia’s Latin Music scene for the better part of two decades. She performed with the seminal female Latin-jazz group Ellas, and even garnered four Latin Grammy nominations with Philadelphia salsa group Orquesta La Paz.
Ortiz , hailing from Bayamon, Puerto Rico is a gifted pianist, singer, arranger and composer. She directed the Treble Choir, Men/Barbershop, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Show Choir and co-directed the International Award Winning Concert Choir. Under her direction the choirs won first and second place in Italy, Prague, Puerto Rico, Ghana, Poland, Virginia, Nashville, Tennessee, New York and Orlando, Florida.
