March 18, 2017 7:30PM Tinta Roja with Cast Shadows at Crossroads Concerts

Tinta Roja is a bandoneon-guitar duo featuring the intimate, lively, and lyrical sound of tango. Alejo de los Reyes (guitar) and Shinjoo Cho (bandoneon) and met at a mutual friend’s Sunday asado (Argentine barbecue) in Buenos Aires, surrounded by an endless supply of meat, wine, and music making. Their repertoire spans many eras of tango as well as folk music from Argentina.

Cast Shadows is music for accordion and cello, inspired by Eastern European folk, fog machines and Erik Satie.
