Featuring:

Emmett Drueding: is a Singer Songwriter out of Philadelphia who dabbles in a variety of genres but has been described as "neo-folk indie rock." With a heavy influence from fingersyle guitarists such as John Fahey and John Renbourne, Drueding also is reminisent of songwriting heros Elliott Smith, The Beatles, Dave Van Ronk and a slew of classic country artists. Drueding will be accompanied by his band of Rob Sanders on violin, Ray Bailey on double bass, and Miles Ziskind on drums.

Off The Orchard: With songs about apocalyptic visions, love, and the blues, Off the Orchard plays rock music that is fresh and grand.

_________________________________________________________Svitanya: is a women's vocal ensemble specializing in the music of Eastern Europe. Its repertoire, performed mostly a cappella, is drawn from a variety of regional traditions. Some songs are modern arrangements of old folk tunes, some are original compositions in the folk style, and others are sung as they have been for generations. They range from strong and strident field-working songs to traditional dance tunes to lush and emotive arrangements, all evoking the timbres, rhythms, and harmonies indigenous to the region.

Heather Blakeslee, Sweet Briar Rose: I live, work, write, garden, make music and produce shows in Philadelphia, Pa. My tiny cottage in Queen Village, affectionately referred to by friends as "The Shire," contains two gardens (and another down the street), two humans, two rescued cats and many, many instruments, including, most recently, a cello named Alezan Germaine. I'm into politics; I like to cook; I'm learning to fence; my band's name is Sweetbriar Rose and we're gearing up for a second record.
