Savor this taste of Afro-Brazilian culture with Project Capoeira in collaboration with special guests Cleonice and Nildinha Fonseca and José Zé Ricardo Sousa directly from Bahia, Brazil. The ensemble will perform a colorful, crowd-pleasing repertoire of Afro-Brazilian folkloric dances such as orixás, Samba de Roda, and capoeira, the martial art that fuses rhythmic music with high-energy gymnastics. Don’t miss this get-out-of-your-seat-and-move performance, part of Philadelphia’s Brazilian Day celebration.
