Spruce Street Harbor Park opens for the season on Friday, May 12. However, due to inclement weather, the UNIVESTival will run May 19 through May 21st.
UNIVESTival runs from opening day, Friday, May 19, through Sunday, May 21, and promises a bevy of special events throughout the weekend. Guests can enjoy a tightrope and aerial show by Philly Circus, craft time with local arts companies, a magic show and live music. Each night of the festival, a different local musician will take the stage at the waterfront park — DJ King Britt on May `9, Son Little on May 20 and Trinidelphia on May 21.
The season runs through Sunday, October 1.
The park opens with its first-ever opening weekend festival.
Admission to Spruce Street Harbor Park is free; all food and drinks are pay as you go.
Developed by the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation and sustained by Univest Bank & Trust Co., the temporary summertime village on Penn’s Landing is an essential Philadelphia summertime attraction with a floating restaurant, a beer garden, delicious food, hammocks, a boardwalk, colorful LED lights and entertainment schedule.
The floating barges with over-the-water seating, food and a bar will return with great dining offerings from a number of local restaurateurs. Garces Group, Chickie’s and Pete’s, Federal Donuts (yes, fried chicken sandwich!) and Franklin Fountain will return for the season with food and drink options ranging from tacos and burgers to pizza and ice cream.
