May 7, 2017 2:00 and 6:30PM Ujima Dance Theater presents: The Power of Words and Movement

Ujima Dance Theater, The Power of Words and Movement will explore issues of social change, culture, heritage and empowerment, through dance, choreography, spoken word and music. The group will be featuring six talented dancers: La'Nise Ambrose, Amber Hongsermeier, Kalia Mullen, Alissa Johann, Imani Shabazz , and Corrine Cranmer. We will be joined by guest artist: Spoken Word Artist Victoria Peurifoy, Dancer Choreographer Carmen Butler, Hip-hop Dance Artist Motion Monarchs, Dancers and Choreographers Craig Bogan El and Afia Bogan El and The Teresa Andris Dancers. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door, $12 for students and $7.50 for children under 15. There will be one show at 2pm and one at 6.30pm. For ticket information: udtheater@yahoo.com
